John Shaw is the supervising attorney of Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas’ Project HIRED (Helping Individuals Remove Employment Disadvantages). John is a graduate of Wayland Baptist University and St. Mary’s University School of Law and was licensed to practice law in 2007. Currently the Secretary of FW-TCYLA John has been a member since 2007 and a Board Member since 2009. As a board member he has chaired the NICA Christmas Party Committee and Socials as well as speaking at the Healing the Wounds: Navigating the Legal System after Surviving Domestic Abuse where he has participated as a panel speaker for the last three years. John was recently elected as a council member of the Poverty Law section of the State Bar of Texas.
